Why is my score suddenly 0 in Kattis?

The ranklists are intended to track individual performance. Activities such as submitting the same account from multiple accounts, downloading code from the internet, submitting LLM generated code and sharing code ("plagiarism") in general is not compatible with taking part in the ranklist system.

Kattis automatically reviews and flags submissions for activities that are not compatible with the ranklists. If an account has a significant fraction of submissions which are flagged it will be automatically removed from the ranklists. If this happens, the score for the account will be displayed as 0, and the account will not be visible on the ranklists. The account can still use Kattis freely, and take part in all parts of Kattis other than the ranklists.

If you wish to return a flagged account to the ranklists, you will need to solve a significant number of problems without any flagging. The exact number depends on the number of flagged submissions on the account, and the number of submissions in total. But as a guideline, you will need to solve about 5 problems cleanly for each flagged submission. Short solutions on trivial problems can sometimes be flagged by chance as potential plagiarism, so it is preferable to solve somewhat harder problems.
